AIDAH NANGENDO
Aidah began her legal journey at Makerere University where she completed a Bachelor of Laws and travelled to Canada to attend a Master of Laws program in International Trade and Investment at McGill University. She has domestic and international expertise advising individual clients and corporations on various commercial law matters.
She has acted as counsel to several entities in establishing their businesses and advised on structuring and developing their investments.
Aidah expanded her skills by obtaining a Master in Arts in Business Economics and International Relations at Kingston University in the United Kingdom. She has worked at law firms in the UK practicing family law, employment law, immigration law and criminal law. She also held several teaching assignments.
Aidah worked at Simeon Law Office in Toronto where she regularly advised clients on a variety of commercial agreements offering practical and precise solutions to protect client wealth. Upon her return, she joined the department of multilateral trade and treaties in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she advised on a variety of international law issues and trade related matters. She also taught law at the College of Business and Management Sciences, Makerere University.
She joined the financial services sector overseeing compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance, conducting risk, internal controls and money laundering assessments. Aidah received her practicing certificate from the Law Development Center in Kampala.

TIMOTHY ANDREW KAKEMBO

Timothy has a distinct wealth of experience in agricultural law, technology development, protection and commercialisation, intellectual property, tech start-up fundraising, data privacy, real estate, public procurement and construction law, estate planning and generational wealth management.
He specialises in advising in aspects of agricultural law and environment, ESG, technology development, protection and commercialisation, intellectual property (copyright and neighboring rights, image rights, data privacy, digital rights, trademarks and service marks, patents, petty patents/utility models, plant breeders rights, industrial designs), formulation of intellectual property policy and strategy for R&D Institutions and SMEs, conducting intellectual property audits and monitoring, drafting patent applications and filings thereof, trademark prosecutions and renewals, biotechnology and biosafety regulation, technology brokerage and licensing, franchising and distribution, insurance, estate planning, wealth management, commercial transactions and corporate governance, immigration, retirement benefits and pension and Public Sector Advisory and Government Business.
Timothy holds an LL.M in Intellectual Property (WIPO), an LL. B (Hons) from Makerere University in Uganda and a Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center, Kampala-Uganda and possesses over 15 (fifteen) years post-graduate working experience, both in the public/government and private sector.
Timothy is a licensed trademark agent with the national IP Office of Uganda and Intellectual Property expert with ARIPO (Africa Regional Intellectual Property Organisation), member of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) and International Trademark Association (INTA).
